MIKE CURRIE ADVENTURES & WILD WING SHOOTING AFRICA

Our Passion for Wingshooting

For those of you who share a passion for wingshooting, we certainly have a common infatuation!

Working behind staunch pointing dogs has always been a personal Favorite of mine, and it’s something we never tire of witnessing. Whether it’s the nerve-wracking wait over a decoyed duck dam, anticipating the action-packed conclusion to a fantastic day, or the chaos of a massive flock of guinea fowl driven over a line of well-placed guns, wingshooting never fails to thrill me.

These are experiences we cherish and hope you’ll have the chance to enjoy as well. Africa is a gem of a wingshooting destination, just waiting for you to discover everything it has to offer.

Many think, of Africa as home to the Big 5 and its diverse plains game, but few realize the continent's fantastic wingshooting opportunities!

For early risers passionate about waterfowl, Africa offers thrilling decoyed duck and goose shooting. Yellow-billed duck, Red-billed teal, Spur-winged, and Egyptian geese provide fast-paced action on inland waters and fields.

Upland bird enthusiasts can hunt 9 species of Francolin and Spurfowl over pointing dogs, while the excitement of driven guinea fowl shoots, with up to 100 beaters, is unforgettable.

For those seeking higher volume shooting, Africa’s "Breadbasket" delivers flocks of doves and the challenging Rock or Speckled pigeons that test your skills at high speed.

The beauty of wingshooting in Africa is that you can combine waterfowl, upland birds, and more into one exciting trip. Whether you're after ducks, upland birds, or a variety of targets, Africa promises a thrilling 7 or 10-day wingshooting adventure!
