Founded and led by Ian Head, who has over 30 years of experience in orchestrating successful hunting expeditions, the company is dedicated to creating memorable and fulfilling safari adventures. Over time, World Safari Xpeditions has expanded its focus beyond hunting to champion conservation and raise awareness about the impact humans have on the planet.


Ian's personal journey in Africa has provided him with valuable insights into the importance of wildlife conservation. He has witnessed the continent’s breathtaking beauty and delicate ecosystems, reinforcing his commitment to species preservation and sustainable hunting practices. Raised in a traditional hunter-gatherer environment, Ian learned firsthand the significance of responsible hunting, which remains central to his philosophy at World Safari Xpeditions.


World Safari Xpeditions offers a wide range of adventures, including big game safaris, wing shooting safaris, and photography safaris. The company specializes in personalized safaris for small groups and individuals with specific needs, such as physical limitations or tight schedules. About Ian Head


Ian grew up in rural Victoria, where he spent his time hunting, fishing, and spearfishing. It was during these formative years that he developed a deep love and respect for the Australian bush, along with a commitment to wildlife preservation.


In 1994, for his 40th birthday, Ian’s wife Pam surprised him with a trip to Africa. This experience sparked a passion for the continent in both Ian and Pam. After several adventures with family and friends, they recognized the need for organized hunting trips and founded World Class Wingshooting and Game Shooting Expeditions.


As demand for information on permits, accommodations, and other logistics grew, so did the business. Now in its 25th year, the company has evolved beyond hunting trips and been rebranded as World Safari Xpeditions (WSX).


While Ian’s greatest passion remains Africa, his hunting expeditions have expanded in recent years to include the wilds of Alaska, Argentina and the Canadian wilderness. His enduring love for the sport and the outdoors continues to inspire him.


Ian is a Life Member of Field and Game Australia, a member of the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia, the Big Game Rifle Club of Victoria, and a Lifetime Member of Safari Club International.


After 40 years of running OSA Brands, Ian has now retired, allowing him to fully dedicate himself to World Safari Xpeditions.
